Our amazing instructor, Nicole, from Little Sister Sewing, will guide us through the basics of sewing machine anatomy, the process of setting up your threads, forward and backstitching, and basic troubleshooting. You'll leave with a sample project and with the confidence to tackle your own sewing projects at home!

This fun, interactive class teaches kids sustainability and the basics of using a sewing machine through an engaging project that they will be proud to have created. Perfect for beginners eager to try something new, or those with some experience looking for a fun project!
All students will be upcycling a pillowcase into a drawstring backpack. Each student will need to bring one 100% cotton pillowcase (standard size) to class with them.
Recommended age for participation is 7-12. All students must have a responsible adult present in the building, however the adult does not need to sit with them in the classroom, unless preferred.
